Mosaic Executive Recruitment - Tim Dare - Managing Director and Managing Consultant

Tim Dare
Managing Director and Managing Consultant, Education and Business Information

Tim established Mosaic Search & Selection in 2000, having spent over 10 years as a Sales & Marketing Director within the educational publishing sector. He continues to run the team responsible for Executive Search within the Education and Business Information sectors. In addition to his role as Managing Director at Mosaic, he is also non-executive Chairman of a large social housing company and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Between April and September, Tim plays polo with his team at Edgeworth Polo Club.  He also regularly enjoy mountain biking in the Forest of Dean and all around Wales.  At home Tim keeps bees and enjoys the honey his two hives produce each year.

Operations Director

Lynne co-founded Mosaic with Tim in 2000. Leveraging the considerable HR experience she acquired from posts at Jaeger’s London head office and at WWF-UK (World Wide Fund for Nature) in Surrey, she established a strong, dedicated team to grow the business and take Mosaic forward as a leading executive search company. She is currently responsible for the training and recruitment of the team, supporting our Consultants, ensuring the office runs efficiently and – crucially – arranging highly successful team-building events.

In her spare time, Lynne loves looking after her flock of hens, and baking with their fresh eggs! She also regularly plays squash,  Ashtanga Yoga, and mountain biking in the Forest of Dean and all around Wales.

Phil joined Mosaic in July 2004, and heads up the Financial Services and the Front & Back Office Contact Centre Executive Search Team. He combines his first-class research and analytical skills, gained through a History BA (Hons), with a personable character and the level of professionalism necessary to succeed in this arena.

Phil is a keen follower of Cheltenham Town FC, and regularly travels across Europe to watch various levels of football. Other interests include cricket and military history.

Matt has been part of the Mosaic team since June 2010, after spending the previous seven years working in other areas of recruitment. Matt currently heads up the Outsourcing/BPO desk, which has a strong focus on the EMEA contact centre arena. Matt’s ability to build relationships at senior level has helped him build an exclusive network of professionals within his specialist sector, and to deliver for his clients on many of his assignments to date.

With a personal affection for most sports, Matt is a season ticket holder at Manchester United FC, and having Cheltenham’s beautiful racecourse on his doorstep has fuelled his passion for horse racing.

Luke joined Mosaic in 2012 as Researcher/Resourcer. After graduating with a media studies degree, his career path took him into coaching and from there to credit control; these roles have developed Luke's ability to interact on many levels, creating a warm, relaxed approach to business conversations. Working alongside the Consultants, his role is to research and engage candidates for open opportunities.

 In his spare time Luke enjoys live music, comedy and walking his dogs.

Jo Howard

Jo has been with Mosaic since 2009. During her time with us, she’s completed multiple successful searches for managing directors, publishing directors, sales and marketing directors, art and design directors, editorial directors and business development directors, as well as many other senior roles in trade, consumer, academic, educational and journal publishing.

Jo has more than 25 years’ experience in publishing, which has given her a broad and deep understanding of the sector – not to mention an unrivalled network of industry contacts. Prior to becoming a consultant, she headed up strategy development at WH Smith Retail, having previously been Director of their Children’s and Education Business Unit and Product Marketing Director for Books. Prior to joining WH Smith, Jo was also Commercial Director, and then Supply Chain Director, for Waterstone’s.

Jo has an MBA from Oxford Brookes University and postgraduate qualifications in coaching and mentoring, and she works with leaders, c-level teams and individuals in the UK and internationally. She lives near Oxford in the UK with her husband and two daughters, and is a keen walker.

Mark is a publishing and education technology consultant with over 15 years’ experience in publishing software, library systems and e-content. In addition to consultancy projects, he has also held senior posts at Publishing Technology, Ingram Digital, SirsiDynix and Innovative Interfaces.

Mark has a further 15 years’ experience in information technology and project management, gained within blue chip companies such as Accenture, Barclays and NatWest. He has a philosophy and psychology degree from Oxford University, and lives near Cheltenham with his wife and two sons.

Dan is a multi-award-winning recruiter specialising in search assignments for senior to executive talent across all industries, both in Australia and overseas. He is also NSW State Manager for the NPAworldwide recruitment network.

The skills he developed as a management consultant at firms such as PwC on corporate initiatives in Australia, Japan, USA, the UK,

Middle East, and Europe, have enabled him to become a highly effective Search Consultant. 

With a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, he also has an excellent understanding of people’s work motivations – a key element in search assignments. He particularly enjoys the challenge of sourcing for hard-to-fill roles and takes pride in his ability to identify top quality senior talent in a very short amount of time.

Sue Sharpe has over 25 years’ experience working with a broad range of international corporations including retail, finance, FMCG manufacturing, service, sporting and fashion.   She has held senior management positions in sales and marketing, and has enjoyed public speaking on behalf of well-known brands throughout her career, both within their organisations, with customers and key opinion leaders and also in the media for her employers, such as Coca-Cola and McDonald’s.

As a public speaking coach, as part of an associated leading training company faculty, Sue has coached executives from a variety of clients, across industries, such as pharmaceutical, oil and gas, finance, publishing, automotive, eg, General Electric, Honeywell, Bristol Myers Squibb, Eaton, Informa, Molex.

Sue’s coaching style is enthusiastic and engaging, with the ability to quickly gain an understanding of client participant needs and encourage the optimum development of each individual’s skillsets.  Her appreciation of the importance of creating and delivering great presentations, across the modern spectrum of communication mediums, gives support to those seeking leadership in their careers and organisations. Specific skillset development areas include standing, seated or virtual presentations, handling Q&A sessions, (media or interview), giving effective briefings and being able to speak on the spot.

Sue works as a public speaking coach and also consults in the area of brand and marketing strategy, activation and communications.
